St. Mary & St. Verena New Year's Day Community Service

Through the grace of God, our church continues its annual tradition of serving the homeless by preparing outreach bags filled with essential necessities each New Year’s Day. This blessed service began in loving memory of our beloved, Maro Rofail.

This year, our focus will be on hygiene and cleanliness, in honor of our patron saint, St. Verena, who dedicated her life to the service of others through care and compassion.

By God’s grace, approximately 200 outreach bags will be prepared and distributed directly to the homeless. In the spirit of unity and fellowship, about 50 of these bags will also be donated to our sister church, Christ the Good Shepherd Orthodox Church, to support their local outreach efforts.

Event Date/ Bag Preparation: January 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM

Liturgy: TBD

We invite you to participate through your donations, service, and prayers for the success of this ministry.
